Types of LinkedIn Users!

There are four types of LinkedIn Users

(A) Those who focus on sharing their unique expertise and helping others succeed over the long-term, creating “quality” content for a specific audience, expecting nothing in return and knowing that performance metrics do not measure quality.

(B) Those who focus on performance metrics and short-term wins, those who think that success and quality are measured by views, engagement, connections, etc.

(C) Those who focus on selling – there is nothing wrong with selling if you do it the right way, however, the vast majority of people get it very, very wrong.

(D) Those who focus on consuming content only – there is definitely nothing wrong with this (just know you’re missing out on a huge opportunity to share your expertise with others in a way that helps them and you).

Here’s why I share this…

If you’re in group #1 you are going to win. I don’t care what your goals are (marketing, sales, brand building, networking, job seeking, getting promoted, leading a team, starting a business, etc.) you will have more long-term success than everyone else… and the crazy thing is, as soon as you adopt a few very simple long-term strategies you start seeing results in the short-term too.
