Who is an intrapreneur?

I was reading “Lean startup”. This term got my attention.

There is a thin between being an employee and an intrapreneur.

As an employee, you might stick to your tasks from 9-6.

You keep your new ideas to yourself.

For you, your job is just a job.

You might not take up additional responsibilities.

You might forget to upskill.

You fear layoff and recession.

As an intrapreneur, you innovate.

You observe the job of COO, Designer, developer and digital marketing specialist.

You are curious to learn.

You bravely convey your new ideas.

Even at 3 AM, you are happily up and running for client meetings, solving bugs and brainstorming new product ideas.

You love your job, not the company. You know you can survive anywhere.

If you are the second category, you aren’t an employee.

You are an intrapreneur

You wear smart work in your sleeve.

You communicate like a leader.

People trust and revert you.

I don’t think working for a start-up, MNC or a freelancer would define who you are.

Any employee thinking out of the box and putting efforts to convert their thoughts into action is an intrapreneur.

Kudos to those mighty brains!
